Actors have the arduous task of taking all the aspects of show (set, lighting, sound, props, costume, and direction) and making the audience believe and enter the world that they have created for a few hours. This takes hours of practice and really understanding not only their character but everyone else’s character as well. Actors need to know how to convey messages with not only their voice but their body. They are interpreters for the audience, explaining what the playwright and director are trying to say with their work.
